This week I'm on a book about Warren Buffett.

So dropping a quick post on a meaningful life lesson learnt from the World's No. #1 Billionaire =)

Would you bet $10 for $20K?

There was this day where Buffett and his group of golf khakis were on a multi-day golfing trip.

His friends then playfully offered him a bet: his $10 against their $20,000 that he could not score a hole in one over the next few days.

Everyone except Buffett agree.

No matter how hard they tried to "neow" him and stress him, he did not cave in. He thought it over and decided it was not a good bet for him.

Can you imagine yourself in his shoes ... especially when 1) you are a person of such high net worth and 2) a bet that promises 200,000% return on an event that is dependent solely on your skill?

He said if you are not disciplined with small things, you will probably be undisciplined with big things too.

I absolutely love this statement. It applies to almost anything in life ... be it trading or otherwise ...

Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.

cheers, shufang =)

p/s: I am also glad I read his book. Almost splurge $$ on a mini-laptop that I have been wanting to buy. It was a good $100 discount though. Super good deal.

heyo ...

i think sometimes bad habits ain't really bad habits.
It's might be psychological, more like our way of thinking/emotions which
led to us reacting in a certain manner.

But then we could change these bad habits or our reflex reactions/decisions by practicing the correct habits.

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.

Watch your words, for they become actions.

Watch your actions, for they become habits.

Watch your habits, for they become character.

Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
