We were honored with the opportunity to be an invited speaker for NLB’s Economic Survivor Series Programme, among speakers from Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and the Workforce Development Agency….!
NLB created this programme to address the social and life-skill readiness of retrenched professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs), mid-career job seekers and fresh graduates. Through a series of knowledge-based workshops and talks, it aims to educate individuals, households, small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs on how to stay relevant and resilient in a downturn.
On 20 May 2009, Winston shared with the public on how to create a stable business of service or products, in his talk entitled “The 3 Factors to Start a Business in Singapore”. The room was full-house that night! Those who managed to grab a seat and sit through the talk left happily fulfilled at the end of it. If you missed the talk, here’s the good news! The talk was videoed and archived in the NLB’s digital library. =)
On 13 June 2009, Shufang did another talk on “Charting Your Career Progression”. It was a passionate talk with active participation from the lively audience, whom at the end became friends among themselves. And one of our FXDS graduates specially attended the talk with her friend because she knew that we were speaking. It was such a heartwarming act. Thank you Hwee Koon for your support!
We are indeed deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been able to share our knowledge with the public. We do look forward to such opportunities again… as we truly enjoy empowering lives!
