The Top 10 Questions Everyone Asks About Forex!

Shares Investment Magazine, Issue 361

How does a person make money in Forex trading?
You make money exactly like how you make money on your currency exchange when you go on a holiday. For example, you just returned from a two week holiday in California, and now you want to convert your unused US dollars back to Singapore dollars. Your immediate desire would be a stronger US dollar; and that is exactly how the process works as well, in the spot forex market…

NLB Economic Survivor Talks

We were honored with the opportunity to be an invited speaker for NLB’s Economic Survivor Series Programme, among speakers from Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and the Workforce Development Agency….!

NLB created this programme to address the social and life-skill readiness of retrenched professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs), mid-career job seekers and fresh graduates. Through a series of knowledge-based workshops and talks, it aims to educate individuals, households, small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs on how to stay relevant and resilient in a downturn.

On 20 May 2009, Winston shared with the public on how to create a stable business of service or products, in his talk entitled “The 3 Factors to Start a Business in Singapore”. The room was full-house that night! Those who managed to grab a seat and sit through the talk left happily fulfilled at the end of it. If you missed the talk, here’s the good news! The talk was videoed and archived in the NLB’s digital library. =)

On 13 June 2009, Shufang did another talk on “Charting Your Career Progression”. It was a passionate talk with active participation from the lively audience, whom at the end became friends among themselves. And one of our FXDS graduates specially attended the talk with her friend because she knew that we were speaking. It was such a heartwarming act. Thank you Hwee Koon for your support!

We are indeed deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been able to share our knowledge with the public. We do look forward to such opportunities again… as we truly enjoy empowering lives!

Alleviating Risks Through Proper Education & Mentoring

Shares Investment Magazine, Issue 358

Winston Ng did not start out wanting to teach Forex trading. In an industry where most people think you are out to scam their money, it is not quite a rewarding market to be in. Life is much easier just to trade Forex than to teach it. However, Winston got persuaded by a few of his persistent private clients in his earlier financial intelligence course to teach Forex trading.

In a span of 5 short months since the public launch of his pioneering Forex courses, came the birth of the brand – Forex Driving School. Instead of giving you a crash course and then offering a few months of follow-up sessions, his school is the only one in Singapore that teaches you Forex trading in progressive stages over 8 weeks, giving you time to digest, do homework and come back with a clearer perspective. Winston talks to Shares Investment (Singapore) about his passion and experiences in Forex trading ….

Speaking at BizAsia Entrepreneurial Exchange

Winston was asked to share his experience in starting up a business to a congregation of enterprising undergraduates from famous universities in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and India.

He totally captured the hearts and blew the minds of these aspiring young adults off with his lively narration of his journey in entrepreneurship after NUS – the lessons learnt in the successes and failures of the business he started, from health training to publishing to education.

While he shared the excitement of starting new businesses, he also emphasized that the founder’s passion is the everlasting fuel to every successful businesses out there. The mission is, thus, to carve out a market niche that craves for your products/services and over-serve it.
